And So I Started A Podcast

Before the end of 2024, I set a goal – to post a video every day on YouTube all through 2024. I felt excited about the adventure. I told the team. We began preps. I began creating my notes.

But by February, I began to feel foreboding discontent. I pay attention a lot to how I feel as a creative. While it was good that people were watching my videos and learning from me, it didn’t feel like a proper ecosystem. An ecosystem has peculiar feature of inclusion.

I packed my bags and stopped showing up. My team felt disappointed.

I’ve always loved storytelling. I’ve always loved to hear perspectives buried within the souls of humans. When I read stories on the Facebook page of Humans of New York, I get so drawn it. I had started Spirits of Africans in 2020, but abandoned it because I didn’t have the resources to push further. It’s a project I will still get back to when I purchase the cameras I need and set up the structure that would let me travel weeks on end, exploring the different parts of Africa in the hunt for stories.

I assembled the team and told them we would start a podcast. By September 2024 we began to hunt for individuals we know would grace our podcast; folks who have striking stories of how they began monetising their knowledge. And how they’re still monetising their knowledge.

At its core, a podcast is a conversation or story delivered through sound or video, designed to be listened to on demand. Ours is video, but we are also working to have the sound stripped and investigating the platforms to place our podcast.

A podcast feels personal. Hearing a human voice creates intimacy. Seeing a human talk feel like someone speaking to you, not at you.

A podcast offers a point of view – a story told, a question explored, an experience shared.

Podcasts live in the in-between moments – road commutes, walks, chores. The listener can plug in and enjoy.

A podcast can unearth honesty and that is what matters more. Listeners connect to real thinking, real curiosity, real emotion.

A consistent podcast builds credibility, relatability, and authority without being salesy.

The best podcasts feel ongoing. Over time, listeners develop trust with the host(s), returning not just for topics, but for them.

Wealth, leverage, systems, discipline, and legacy can’t be taught in soundbites. Podcasting allows you to unpack ideas deeply, tell real stories (wins, mistakes, lessons) and explain the why behind the frameworks we teach.

Our episodes air every Friday at 6 PM.

Engaging. Punchy. Transforming.

All episodes air every Friday on our YouTube channel : Knowledge Money University.

It’s my wish that YOU go over to our YouTube channel and have a splendid time.
